The Muppetwt Awards are a fan-run award show that was founded by Tori from The Muppets No Context on Twitter in 2022 to celebrate the best of The Muppets and the Muppet fandom from the previous year. After a couple days of online voting by Muppet fans, the results were announced at the First Annual Muppetwt Awards, which were presented live via Twitter Spaces in January 2022. A recording of the ceremony can currently be heard on YouTube. In January 2023, The Second Annual Muppetwt Awards were once again presented live via Twitter Spaces! A few months after the first Muppetwt Awards were held, Tori embarked on another major project: The Muppet Fan Hall of Fame. Inspired by organizations like the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame, those inducted into this special group were selected by their fellow Muppet fans based on their contributions to the Muppet online fandom over the years, and the first class, which was initiated during a live ceremony over Google Meet in April 2022, included the founders and/or current operators of such notable fan projects as ToughPigs, Muppet Wiki, The Muppet Mindset, and Muppet History, as well select Muppet professionals and celebrity fans. In April 2023, preparations began for the second annual Muppet Fan Hall of Fame, and the Inductees were announced on May 1st. The Ceremony was live-streamed on YouTube on May 21st. In January 2024, the Third Annual Muppetwt Awards were presented live on YouTube with Kim from @Kermiggy on Twitter as the new co-director of the awards!
